Meet the Sensei
Sensei Mychael Varela has over 25 years of practicing Shito-Ryu from Sensei Tanaka in Anchorage, Alaska. He was ranked 2nd in the nation for kumite and was invited to represent team USA at the Junior World Championship in Budapest Hungry. He has participated in multiple tournaments throughout the United States. Sensei Varela is very eager to teach Shito-Ryu to others. Not only will you learn self defense but manners, respect and descipline. Train to compete locally, and nationally where you can have a chance to represent team USA.
